The Melrose Centre Team is made up of, a head of Centre, a second in department, two autism specialist teachers along with seven support staff.
The Centre Leader, Brett Maclennan has significant experience working with young people with autism, in autism specialist schools and mainstream settings. There are four additional teachers, Alice Beadle, John Adams, Helen Irving and Becky Lambert
The 8 support staff receive regular training on supporting students with ASD including sensory integration social communication strategies.
In addition, The Melrose Centre benefits from the expertise of Speech and Language Therapist and Occupational Therapist on a weekly basis. These professionals work with The Melrose Team to advise on bespoke strategies to meet sensory and communication needs.
